Dr. Leo Becker

DVM

Dr. Leo Becker is a highly respected veterinarian with a distinguished career dedicated to animal health and welfare. Since joining Bethel Animal Hospital in 2015, his expertise and compassionate care have significantly impacted the community.

Dr. Becker began his academic journey at Kansas State University, earning a Bachelor in Animal Science and an Equine Certificate in 2011. His exceptional skills and knowledge in equine science were highlighted as a member of the 2006 K State World Championship-winning Horse Judging Team. Additionally, he actively contributed to the university community through his participation in the Ag Council at K State.

Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Becker pursued his passion for veterinary medicine at Ross University, graduating with a degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2014. He completed his clinical year at the University of Missouri in 2014. To complement his veterinary expertise, he completed farrier school in 2017, expanding his proficiency in equine care.

Dr. Becker’s commitment to the veterinary profession extends beyond his practice. He served as the President of the Kansas City Veterinary Medicine Association in 2022, demonstrating his leadership and dedication to advancing the field. He is licensed to practice veterinary medicine in both Kansas and Missouri and is a USDA-accredited veterinarian, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance.

At Bethel Animal Hospital, Dr. Becker is known for his compassionate approach, thorough diagnostics, and dedication to providing the best possible care for all animals. His extensive training and experience make him a trusted figure in the veterinary community and a valuable asset to the hospital.

Dr. Thomas Ward

DVM

Dr. Ward is a KCK native and began his career at Bethel Animal Hospital in 1983. He achieved his DVM from Kansas State University in 1992, and has enjoyed serving the community through veterinary medicine. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association along with the Kansas City Medical Veterinary Medicine Association.

In his spare time he enjoys his family travels, woodworking and American history.

Nicole

Hospital Manager

Nicole's passion for animals began at Bethel in 2004 when she started as a kennel worker . Through hard work and dedication, she progressed to become a veterinary assistant for 18 years, and now serves as the hospital manager. With her love of animals and people, Nicole has spent her career making a difference in her community. Outside of work, she cherishes time with her family, including her daughter, grandson and other loved ones, and spoils her rescue dog rotten. With a warm smile and kind spirit, Nicole continues to shine in her role, inspiring others with her compassion.
